The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture announced on Monday, October 21, that Saudi Arabia has opened its market to import flowers and hay from Brazil. This marks the third market opening in Saudi Arabia this year; in March, the import of vegetable seeds was authorized, followed by live poultry in August.
From January to September 2024, Brazil exported approximately $2 billion in agricultural products to Saudi Arabia, making it the 15th largest destination for Brazilian agricultural exports.
With these announcements, Brazilian agribusiness has achieved its 184th market opening this year, totaling 262 openings in 61 destinations since the beginning of 2023.
