Harvest Expected to Reach 167 Million Tons
Brazil’s soybean production for the 2025 harvest is projected to reach 167 million tons, according to estimates released on Tuesday (November 19) by the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove). The organization anticipates a 9.4% increase in soybean production compared to the current year.
Abiove also projects a 5.9% rise in soybean exports, expected to total 104.1 million tons. Meanwhile, domestic soybean processing is forecasted to grow by 4.6%, reaching 57 million tons.
Abiove’s outlook suggests strong performance for the soybean complex in 2025.
Soybean Meal
Soybean meal production is expected to reach 44 million tons, an increase of 5.5%. Exports are forecasted to grow by 3.6%, with 22.9 million tons shipped abroad, while domestic consumption is projected to rise by 3.7%, totaling 19.5 million tons.
Soybean Oil
Soybean oil production is projected to grow by 3.6%, reaching 11.4 million tons. Domestic demand is expected to increase by 6.1%, totaling 10.5 million tons. However, exports are forecasted to decline by 23.1%, with volumes reaching just 1 million tons by the end of 2025.
