Positive Expectations for 2024/25
Luiz Carlos Bergamaschi, president of the Brazilian Association of Cotton Producers (Abrapa), expressed optimism for the current cycle:
“This year, rainfall has been within normal ranges, a key factor for a successful harvest. Considering the low market prices for cotton, achieving high productivity is crucial to maintaining the crop’s viability. Under these conditions, favorable weather is essential for securing profit margins for producers.”
Despite the positive outlook, Abapa has not yet released specific projections for the 2024/25 season. Exact figures will depend on planting progress.
